A Beginner's Guide to Greg
"There's so much music here!" you say. "Where do I begin?" Indeed. With hundreds of songs, anthems and articles to choose from, www.gregscheer.com can be a little overwhelming. To help you navigate these resources with a better strategy than starting at "A," I've decided that an overview of Greg's "greatest hits" would be helpful. Without further ado, here is A Beginner's Guide to Greg:Congregational Songs. Over 50 songs available for free download, with piano accompanmiments included for a nominal fee. You can browse alphabetically, by scripture, or by "vertical habit."
Choral Anthems. Some are published by other publishers, but most are available for free download. If you use them a $15 "shareware" fee covers the cost of copying the music for your whole choir.
Writings and workshops. The things I write about, I'm also glad to talk about. Here are some of the subjects you'll want to book for your next worship conference:
The Art of Worship. The book has spawned a number of workshops including a full day worship team training (usually with Paul Ryan), P&W history, the other instruments of the worship team,
Nothing but the Truth. A theology of the arts in worship.
The Psalms in Modern Worship. An overview of ways the Psalms have been sung in the past, with ideas about how we can sing them today.
Global Music for Western Worship, Musical Mentoring, Composing Congregational Songs... Oh, just go read the list of past workshops!
