Psalm 98: Sing to the Lord a New Song

$0.00$5.00

It seems like everyone has their own version of Psalm 98, but each generation needs a “new song” so I make no apologies for adding my voice to the fray! This song was chosen to be sung at COLAM 1999 (Conference on Liturgy and Music) at Dordt College as part of the Composition Competition.

Sing to the Lord a new song
for He has done marvelous things.
Oh, sing to the Lord a new song
for He has done marvelous things for us.

1. He’s shown the whole world He frees His folk.
They’ve seen that His words are true. (chorus)

2. The harp’s music rings — each string calls His name.
The trumpet and horn resound. (chorus)

3. The earth and the sea and the river all sing.
The mountains erupt with joy. (chorus)

4. The Lord, He has come to all people and lands:
A fair and a righteous judge. (chorus)
