The song “We Are Coming, Lord, to the Table” hails from Sierra Leone. It first appeared in Global Song for Worship and is also available right here at www.gregscheer.com. But now it also in John Bell’s This Is God’s World: https://www.giamusic.com/store/resource/we-are-coming-lord-to-the-table-pdf-d1038012

A Light to the Nations
Calvin University’s 2021 Service of Lessons and Carols was a beautiful event and well worth watching for the blend of traditional lessons and carols format combined with songs from throughout the globe. I had a number of arrangements included in the program, including “Jesucristo, esperanza del mundo / Jesus Christ, Hope of the World” (27:45), “Anta atheemon / You Are a Great God” (1:01:00), and “Kwake Yesu nasimama / Here on Jesus Christ I Will Stand” (1:16:57).
왕이 오셨다 / Oh, the King Has Come
Just in time for Christmas, here’s a song I co-wrote with Jaewoo Kim and Lisa Sung. It is a simple song of Christ’s birth, sung in Korean and English. I’m so proud to be associated with Jaewoo, Lisa, and all the fine folk at www.proskuneo.info.
“Dawning Light” in WELS Hymnal
My arrangement of Wendell Kimbrough and Bruce Benedict’s “Dawning Light of Our Salvation” is included in the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod’s new hymnal, Christian Worship. It was also part of the promotional video below. (“Dawning Light” starts at 5:27.) My setting of Psalm 78, “People of the Lord,” appears in the WELS Psalter which was released simultaneously.
